  1. 7th Army Parachute Team at Bad Kreuznach, Hershel front row, 5th from right.
  2. As a team mate of Hershel I am sorry to hear of his death. I would indeed like to see the photographs.
  3. On my last day in Vietnam I saw a PC over Phu Loi, that was June 1970.
  4. Thanks for the clarification. Yes please post the pictures. I don't care how many skydives you've got, until you stepped into complete darkness at 800' wearing 95 lbs of equipment and 42 lbs of parachute, son you are still a leg!
  5. The name tag suggests a military background. I don't care how many skydives you've got, until you stepped into complete darkness at 800' wearing 95 lbs of equipment and 42 lbs of parachute, son you are still a leg!
  6. I remember him bringing it to Xenia. I recall a story about him (at least I think it was him.) Late 80's and he was running two Beech 18's. As I remember it the two Beech 18's were conducting jump operations or were returning from jump operations. Bruffy was piloting one Beech and was in orbit while the other landed. However, the first 18 neglected to put it's gear down and made a belly landing. Bruffy was so enraged at seeing this from his aerial view that he commenced landing to chew out the unfortunate pilot. He was so consumed with uncontrollable anger that he too forgot to put his gear down resulting in two Beech 18's belly landing! I don't care how many skydives you've got, until you stepped into complete darkness at 800' wearing 95 lbs of equipment and 42 lbs of parachute, son you are still a leg!
  7. The Jones family are still active in skydiving. Yes please post pictures of Bob Iverson. I don't care how many skydives you've got, until you stepped into complete darkness at 800' wearing 95 lbs of equipment and 42 lbs of parachute, son you are still a leg!
  8. Here's Chet doing a tandem with James Layne. This would have been 1989, Chet was 88, James was 18. I don't care how many skydives you've got, until you stepped into complete darkness at 800' wearing 95 lbs of equipment and 42 lbs of parachute, son you are still a leg!
  9. In my log book I have a jump signed off by RRB D628, anyone know who this is? I don't care how many skydives you've got, until you stepped into complete darkness at 800' wearing 95 lbs of equipment and 42 lbs of parachute, son you are still a leg!
  10. I saw John Cutts with a similar set up, I believe he called it a "block and tackle." I don't care how many skydives you've got, until you stepped into complete darkness at 800' wearing 95 lbs of equipment and 42 lbs of parachute, son you are still a leg!
  11. Thanks. Slightly different to mine. Same basic design but mine has no color in the shield and instead of 1000 has little clasps for hanging numbers on.. I don't care how many skydives you've got, until you stepped into complete darkness at 800' wearing 95 lbs of equipment and 42 lbs of parachute, son you are still a leg!
  12. Do USPA still give out the original style Gold Wings on attaining 1000 jumps or has that changed? I don't care how many skydives you've got, until you stepped into complete darkness at 800' wearing 95 lbs of equipment and 42 lbs of parachute, son you are still a leg!
