Jumping with different insulin pumps
mwabd1 replied to RyanAnk's topic in Skydivers with Disabilities
I have a couple thousand jumps with various minimed pumps and have never had an issue. -
I still use my 20d and have to replace my Sony hdr-hc3.......actually used both the other day to film my youngest sons tandem.............I still have all of my old cameras, several old HI-8 Sony’s but I have all the old tapes and occasionally use the old footage for projects

I went through 2 surgeries, the 1st was to trim the disk and the second was an L5/S1 fusion. I went right back to jumping after the 1st surgery but have not jumped since my fusion. That is just the fear of doing more damage, the 2nd surgery was a miserable recovery. Anyone have any issues jumping after a fusion? .......I hereby reject your reality and instead choose to insert my own!

I started with an old "Full Box" but damn! .......I hereby reject your reality and instead choose to insert my own! -
I have been using an off the shelf HP running XP on a duel core, all I added was an external hard drive for storage and 4 gigs of memory. Works great and in total cost $600. Keep in mind that I edit using Pinnacle Studio, not sure if some of the other programs would require better hardware but there are a lot of others who would know. .......I hereby reject your reality and instead choose to insert my own!

I have had mine for quite a while and it has it's quirks. The most annoying thing is the password keychain, I still can't make it quit. .......I hereby reject your reality and instead choose to insert my own!

I have seen a lot more bad than good handcam video and on the same note I have seen my share of bad outside video. I still think that you will never beat a good outside video that has been properly shot and edited. Handcam has it's value, but in my opinion should be half the cost........you get what you pay for! .......I hereby reject your reality and instead choose to insert my own!

Wuffo friend had a good question
mwabd1 replied to decompresion's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I usually limit my questions to one statement, "HEY ASSHOLE" His or Her response tells me everything I need, after that we can transition to the harder questions. .......I hereby reject your reality and instead choose to insert my own! -

I have had 2 seperate surguries to fix a deviated septum.......if thats it than IT SUCKS BIG HARRY BALLS!!! but it did get rid of my migranes! If your doc is breaking out a chisel and small hammer then he may pack your nose with 10 miles of gauze to hold its shape until it heals.........after it has had a chance to dry for 2 damn weeks they pull it out......and that is enough to make you confess your deepest secrets to make him stop. If thats not what hes doing then hell...piece of cake! .......I hereby reject your reality and instead choose to insert my own!

I had a double in January 2010, the doc told me not to jump for 4 weeks and I waited 6, no issues what so ever. I had a premature deployment this summer that tore all of the muscles and cartalage in my ribs but it did not hurt my back.......so far so good. I had debilitating syatic pain down my right leg up to the day of my surgery. For the first week after it was a bit worse due to swelling but 2 weeks after surgery all of the pain was gone and has been gone for the last year. I have noticed that it is easier to get sore muscles in my lower back now and I am very carfull lifting. Alot of people told me not to get the surgery and that things would get worse but I had great results and would do it again with out a doubt. Of course your milege may vary!
