NWFlyer 2 #1 March 3, 2014 http://www.uspa.org/NewsEvents/News/tabid/59/Default.aspx#36995 QuoteA new advanced class has been added to the 8-way formation skydiving event. The eligibility rules for the advanced class will be modeled after the 4-way advanced class eligibility rules. Be interesting to see if this increases the total number of teams doing 8-way, or just makes three smaller classes."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. hcsvader 1 #2 March 6, 2014 Hey Kris What were the number like before in the classes? (sorry dont know the divisions in USPA) Was it a level playing field or was it more like a bunch of teams fighting for 5th place? any idea if it would be a more advanced dive pool? If it knocks a bunch of the top teams out of the current class i think it might encourage more intermediate teams to compete in a more level playing field Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:)
NWFlyer 2 #3 March 6, 2014 The folks at Spaceland Lite spearheaded the effort - here's the analysis they posted and the results of a survey they conducted to try to have some data to bring to the board. I think it gets to most of your questions. USPA says it'll be similar to 4-way, so the Open/Advanced pool will be the same. http://www.spacelandlite.com/8-way-advanced-survey/ http://www.spacelandlite.com/8-way-advanced-survey-results/"There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please.
