I have very reluctantly sold my Voodoo that I had for 3 years.. but it was time to downsize. It was my first rig so until now I nothing to compare it with.

The build quality is excellent. My 6 year old voodoo was in better condition than the 18 month old rig I bought!

I found the main tray to be quite simple in design, no extra flaps or anything that wasn't needed. It closed up tight, but when it opened it opened wide and nothing would stop that d-bag coming out!

The harness was mostly comfortable, particularly the location of the chest strap. I found sometimes the leg straps would become uncomfortable under canopy - but the rig wasn't built for me.

The pin and bridle protection was terrific, I never had concerns about dislodging pins.

It was a great rig and I will miss it. I will definitely consider a voodoo when I buy custom built gear.

I've had mine 5 years and it's been great. It does tend to ride down the thighs a bit in sitfly because of the hip rings, but a bit of elastic between the legstraps cures that. It's just a bit of a pain having to keep removing it to jump the wingsuit

My custom Voodoo came in last month, and I've put a dozen jumps on it so far. It's very comfortable, well built, looks great, quick delivery (7 weeks), and it comes with all of the bells and whistles standard. They even built me a freefly handle at no extra charge. It's not listed on the order form, but they can do it. I really like the velcroless RSL setup, the way the tuck flaps cover the release housings and everything else but the 3-Ring, the way that the kill line bunches up (instead of having a big loop of line inside the dbag when it's cocked), the v-flex legpads are great, and great main pin protection (the tuck flap doesn't even open on deployment). The only thing I'd prefer are dive loops that "popped" out more, and a split dbag for packing new zero-p.

I bought a custom Voodoo V0 with a pullout deployment system. Sandy and Brenda were extremely helpful to me, and they take all requests for changes in engineering seriously. The rig fit great from day one. I ended up sending it back in to have the pullout system modified to be velcro-less. The system is great, the service is great, and I could not be happier with RI! I think they are a top notch shop and this is the best looking rig on the market, imo. I would buy again for sure, but this rig is made so well I probably won't have to for a very long time!

I bought a voodoo container and have been jumping it for three years. I love it ,but i have a problem with the way a fare bit of the stitching is comming apart, also the elasicated BOC , has been made smaller because the elasticity has gone and my pilot chute was working its way out. Even after being made smaller it has started to stretch even more .I think that there is real room for improvement there by rigging inovations, from both the points ,stitching and BOC

Love it... had a G3 with all the options and spent nearly 500.00 more. The V$ with everything is less than 1700.00 !!!!! Way to go RI and Brend and Sandy are a pleasure to deal with...... this is my 2nd V4 Voodoo 2.0

I ordered an off the shelf voodoo v00 and although it had some shelf life RI made the price right. Not only that but custom fit the harness to my measurements and included the mods I requested. The rig is absolutely the most comfortable I've tried and the cut is simply awesome. I'm more than satisfied with this container and their customer service. From request to delivery was under 2 weeks -- but even a custom container is still very reasonable. Thanks again RI!

This rig is by far the best rig on the market. The placement of the hip and chest rings make it extremely comfortable. The unique design makes it a great looking rig. I like how they went away from the harness standard of the pinstripes etc... The smaller bottom closing flap gives it a more winglike shape which makes it ideal fro freeflying. I can hardly notice the rig on my back whle in freefall. All of my flaps and covers are real secure haven't had any problems. My next rig will definitely be a Voodoo unless RI comes out with something better.

I own a VooDoo V4 with all the options. RI was great to work with, they got all the custom embroidery right the first time and without any hassles. The rig fits great and flies great. It looks good and functions exactly as it should. I would suggest this rig to anyone new and old, belly and free fly. Any previous issues they may have had with the original has been solved on the 2.0

I've got a Voodoo V3 and purchased it early on in my jumping. One of the main factors I chose it was asthetics and fit. It was the most comfortable and naturally feeling and well fitting rig I had tried on...and I had tried on a lot of the big names (Javelin, Mirage, Wings, Vectors)

The risers are well covered as are the pins and bridal. With the reserve pilot chute completely covered, you don't have to worry about snags like the exposed pop-top rigs. I enjoy packing it more than Javelin-style rigs. Packing the reserve is very friendly and straight-forward. The reserve spring will break your nose if you're not careful when packing it(strong is good ;>). You don't need a shock-cord to keep the leg straps together when you are in a sit, for example. It fits so well that it does not slide down your legs to your knees when you move around.

I did have a problem with riser cover flaps popping open under normal use. It was slightly annoying and came to a head when it popped open in a head-down. Needless to say, it caused a mal and I had to chop. I called up RI and they said they had a fix, in a couple of weeks I got the mod and I got several pieces of fabric replaced and it completely fixed the problem. I can now say I am 100% satisfied...well except for the fact that I am ready to downsize (again) and a Stiletto 120 is very loose in the V3.

I also got wider toggles, the thin ones were a little more difficult to jam your hands through after opening, big improvement. Wide leg-straps were a good idea too.

My next purchase will be A Voodoo V1 or or V0, they fit great, they look great, their customer service is great.

Who wants a big block or a cheese wedge on their back?

After jumping a Javeline, Mirage G-3 and mirage G-4, I settled on a Voodoo. I couldn't be happier.. It is extremely comfortable.. excellent pin and bridle protection for freeflying and since it is not over-gadgetized, it is easy to pack.. It is in my opinion a well-designed, well-built rig and when the time comes, I am sure my next rig will also be a Voodoo..

I put about 200 jumps on my voodoo 2.0 V4. The right riser cover would never stay shut. Even after three reserve repacks by different riggers. It is obviously cut wrong. The main pilot chute does not collapse. No satisfaction fron rigging inovtions. It is difficult to pack neatly.To make it look good you have to beat & pummell it to shape. Paid packers will rarely spend the extra time to do this.I finaly replaced it with a mirage G3. On the plus side the harness is the most comfortable I have ever worn.

I bought one of the first VooDoos and I had a real problem with the left hand riser cover coming open during freefall.
R.I. came up with the design change to the 2.0 version. My rig was changed over at no charge and Sandy Reid delivered it to me at the Lost Prairie Boogie, two weeks after I sent it in. Great customer service.
The rig is the best damn looking rig on the market, easily as comfortable as my Racer. More comfortable than any Javelin I have tried on or any Mirage for that matter.
My next rig will be another VooDoo.

The Rigging Innovations (RI) has the best web site in the harness industry. If you are looking for a new one, it is a must to check it out. The Voodoo section explains alot about the container.

I own one. I am very satisfied. As Talon, the hip rings (D-rings in the case of Voodoo) are attached directly to the laterals. The end of the laterals are the true fulcrums for the lower main lift webs and the leg straps. This is the case for any rig. So it just make sense to have rings there. RI is the only company that put hip rings in the correct place. Because of this, there are no unnecessary bend at the bottom of the lower main lift webs which sometimes causes the bottom of reserve and cutaway handles to detach from them. If you are a flat flyers and you only arch, having the ring on the leg harness is okay because you guys never bring your knee up. i hope you can picture this.

I dont know if if this is the consequence of having the hip rings at the right place, but the leg straps never come up to the back of you knee or run up your thighs when you are sit flying. The Voodoo leg straps are equiped with loops so you can attach Bungee cord to keep the leg straps together, but it is not necessary to do so.

When you order a Voodoo, you have a choice between thin and wide leg straps. I recommend wider ones unless you are really skinny. I am 5'10" and 150lb, so slim. I am happy with the wider leg straps. It makes a lot of difference in comfort when you are under canopy. The Voodoo is very comfy when you are flying a canopy. I think the Mirage G3 is comfy, too. But Voodoo is really comfortable. I've done bunch of spirals with relatively high wing loaded canopy. The Voodoo didn't make my thighs go as numb as othe harness.

I like their toggles a lot. they are thin and grommet less. They fit in your hands better in my opinion. If you do hook turns, you might want to request your dive loop to be located higher. They do this for you "if" you ask. The risers are covered all the way down to the three rings. The riser covers have "never" come undone for me. I have flown with othe Voodoo owners and I have never seen their riser covers come undone, either.

The secondary riser covers are no hassle when you pack unlike in the cases of two other rigs which have secondary riser covers.

The reserve compartment is basically same as Talon's. (Acording to my rigger) So the rig is proven to work. I like the hevy duty (80 lb or something, I might be wrong but RI use the strongest spring in the industry) spring loaded reserve pilotchute. The reserve pilot chute bridal have pockets to capture more air when the pilotchute lauchs. I dont know how much of a help that would be, but I like it better than catapult. The reserve riser covers are no longer there. My rigger said it didnt matter.

The D-bag is hevy duty. Same as others, I think. I didnt like the key ring used to stop bridal to move up and down, so I asked my rigger to saw bridal directly to the bag. I like the longer upper main lift web. It makes chest strap to come donw to the lowest part of the chest. I like that because it is easy to losen it when I am under canopy. It also gives me more upper body movement when you hook.

If I had money to buy another buck up rig, I would get another Voodoo. I might sound like a morons on infommercials, but I don't think I am buying others' unless others come up with something better.
