The WARBIRD WEDGE SOFTIE incorporates the same wedge shaped design as our popular standard Wedge Softie. However, it is designed specifically for use in vintage high speed warbirds such as the P51, T-6, and early model jets. The WARBIRD WEDGE is 15" wide X 24" long, 3-1/2" thick at the bottom and 1-1/2" thick at the top and weighs 20 pounds. Inside is a new, military 28' C-9, canopy with a 4-line release steering system and a diaper deployment system for increased reliability and safety. As with all our SOFTIE Pilot Emergency Parachute Systems, the WARBIRD WEDGE is available with either a Conventional or Aerobatic harness. The Conventional harness comes standard with B-12 snaps on the legstraps and a thread-thru adapter on the cheststrap. Quick Ejector hardware is available as an option. A seat pack that is designed to fit into the older style “bucket” seats found in warbird aircraft. The Warbird Softie is exactly the same as our standard Seatpack Softie other than the container is an additional 3" thick. The Warbird Softie is designed for use by persons weighing up to 240 lbs.
