ufk22 33 #1 January 12, 2019 We’ve tried the new style demo smoke and had really bad luck, and 75% bad. Plan on going back to the traditional stuff even though it’s $30/pop. Anyone had good luck with the new stuff? This is the paradox of skydiving. We do something very dangerous, expose ourselves to a totally unnecesary risk, and then spend our time trying to make it safer.
countzero 7 #2 January 13, 2019 Care to enlighten us as to the brand of these "good" and "bad"smokes, so others can avoid the bad ones.diamonds are a dawgs best friend
johnhking1 91 #3 January 13, 2019 I know smoke is good for visibility in free fall and we used to use it years ago but really didn't need it when getting out at 3500 feet. We would take a 2 inch roll of crepe paper and put in our jump suits and after we opened, we would tuck one end under a leg strap and let it unroll. It showed up pretty well and after we landed, we would let the kids rip off a piece for a souvenir, they loved it and it was safe and cheap.

It’s huge in the airsoft community. It is also “coldsmoke” so there is no external flame.
justme12001 0 #7 January 21, 2019 Out of curiosity, are you sure you are deploying the EGs in the proper manner? There is in fact a correct and an incorrect way to pull the pin! If pulled incorrectly it WILL NOT work. The pin should be pulled the side, and not straight up. I have used the EGs quit a bit and have never had an issue with them
