  1. Hello All. In preparation for a Europe trip, I've put a few dozen jumps on my PhoenixFly Classic 2 Piece, and have managed to get 1:1 glide ratio a couple of time but can NEVER average that. It seems like the more I try to use tracking techniques that work for me when I'm jumping SLICK, do the opposite for me when I'm in the suit. The best runs I have are when I'm in more of a delta tracking position. I'm including links to some of the recent jumps, and there's video to accompany each track (I have them in SkyDerby.io and BaseLine.ws, but SkyDerby is giving better info on the skydive tracksuit jumps). Any pointers (keep in mind the camera is fisheye-ing a little due to the lense effect)? https://skyderby.io/tracks/121489 https://skyderby.io/tracks/121488 https://skyderby.io/tracks/121487 https://skyderby.io/tracks/121486 https://skyderby.io/tracks/121485 https://skyderby.io/tracks/121482 https://skyderby.io/tracks/121481 https://skyderby.io/tracks/121480 https://skyderby.io/tracks/121478 Thanks in advance!
  2. It would be a 1.25 WL. But I think the consensus here is to work with a canopy coach, and give it more time before downsizing. I'll also work through the BillVon list. Thanks everybody!
  3. Hello all! Once again, thanks for looking at this post and (hopefully) chiming in. I am on a Sabre 2 135 that I picked up used, and TBH it seems to be ending it's era of "jumpability". The fabric is fading considerably and there are some spots where it has become a little bit tattered. Question is this: My exit weight is ~150 (I'm a shorter, skinny guy), and I feel comfortable on the 135 with riser, harness, toggle input. I'm not getting tossed-around by the canopy by any means, and I do think I would be comfortable on a 120 as well. I stand up every landing, and have had to land a downwinder and several crosswind. Playing with front riser turns, stalling, riding the rears, etc. above 2500ft and I feel as though I am familiar with the recovery and input response off of the Sabre 2 135. I am at about 150 jumps, and am entertaining the idea of buying my first new canopy. Was looking at a Sabre 3 120. Any thoughts on my comfort level, size and experience contributing to this?
  4. You could get a relatively good deal if you can find a camp that's offered during the same chunk of time that you have off. You could probably get s discount on bulk-time.
  5. Hello all, First off, I am thrilled to have found this large community of people enjoying the sport. Now to my question: I have a low number of jumps. I completed my AFF in April, and now have 115 jumps (I also took a couple of 5-6 week breaks due to work travel. That being said, I am now trying to pack them in. This has been excellent for working on specific skills, getting comfortable under my own rig and canopies, etc. Take money out of the equation, is getting a turn rig worth it at this stage? I obviously would look for something used and not wait for the full-price turnaround times, but I do think this could increase my jumps by 50%. Going into the summer months of longer daylight, that could mean significantly more jumps. Anybody gone this route before?
