Ok, thanks, I have that link, but I am also a long ways from a dz and I have met all the requirements, just need to take the exam to get my D license and my membership expires end of month, want to do it all at once

Could you elaborate on the safety seminar? I have not seen that on the uspa D license requirements?

I got a pretty good deal on a new Volt 150, so even though there was very limited information/reviews out there on the performance of this canopy. This review comes after only 20 ish jumps on the canopy and after roughly 300 jumps on a triathlon loaded the same. The flare on this canopy is AMAZING!!! I made my last 10 jumps on no wind conditions and the flare was beautiful, a lovely little ground surf and then max, 2 step run out! The toggle response is light and very reactive. My volt has been really fun to fly! After 20 jumps, the openings are definitely interesting. If you have a 360 off heading opening, was it actually "off heading" lol? I've had 1 out of 20 on heading openings, now granted this could be body issue, so I am experimenting with this, but I also think it could have something to do with the closed end cells, every opening. Regardless, right now, I track hard, work on body position and get those rears as soon as possible, it's worth the fun of flying this really decently priced canopy!

She looks like she was a beautiful soul, and her accomplishments were many!!! I was at the dz on that Saturday and I'm not positive but I think she was one of the AFF students going up that afternoon? There is small consolation when a loved one dies doing what they loved, though it does not heal a heavy heart. Many hugs to you and to Sheralynn's family and friends!! May her memory live on and may she fly free forever blue skies!!! "A man only gets in life what he is believing for, nothing more and nothing less" Kenneth Hagen

I have not received mine. It was shipped out January 25th, 2016. I had received an estimated date of May 21, then June 6th. Now its July 1 and I haven't heard a peep. I did not make any changes to my basically brand new rig (had 10 jumps on it before the recall)...... I got my rig out as soon as I got the DHL shipping info and very quickly after the recall was issued, so I'm positive mine was not at the end of the stack. I posted on fb gear page, and got hooked up with female skydiver with mutual skydive friend, so it's all set! I love this sport!!! "A man only gets in life what he is believing for, nothing more and nothing less" Kenneth Hagen

Hey skydivers!!! I'm about to travel abroad, taking my rig, gonna try to jump in a couple European locations. But I'm posting because when I fly back to the US to JFK, the evening of May 7, I have a 16 hour layover. Connecting flight next day May 8 at 3 pm. Sooooo I'm looking for some New York City local jumpers who are awesome and want to show a country girl around NYC, offer a couch to crash on, and possible jumping, if time allows. I've had luck meeting up with skydivers before like this so thought I'd give it another shot. I have references (I'm not a troll) just seeing if I can expand my jumper world. Otherwise I'm on my own, and recommendations of things easy to do on a 16 hour layover at JFK are welcome! I've jumped a tri 150 loaded at 1.13 for about 200 jumps now. The flare SUCKS. Not always mind you, but it really has a picky non forgiving flare. I'll get tip toe stand up landings 98% of the time and then eat shit the other 2%. there is a line modification (line mod 4.0) search it on here. I've actually jumped a tri 135 with the mod done, but not enough jumps to notice the flare difference much. The Tri is affordable and a good predictable flying, nice opening, all around canopy, but is not well known for its fantastic flare! I have a 9 cell semi elliptical Volt 150 on order now, so I am looking forward to having a little more flare power so to speak. Well they didn't tell me the reason but I assumed landing obstacles/issues. I have done tandems to help buddies get current etc. but I damn well won't pay 245$ :) maybe I should call and see if I can get one for 25-30$ lol "A man only gets in life what he is believing for, nothing more and nothing less" Kenneth Hagen -

Well I had to miss out on the tunnel in Denver, and I will admit, it was last minute crazy but I thought I had to give it a shot. But since then I have jumped at skydive miami.... And I am going to try to jump in key west!!! I am indeed a bumpy brother :) hehe. Sorry for the delay in responding, been super busy partying in south beach :) Hey Denver is only a six hour drive from where I live, if I could find a couch to crash, maybe I will just make a special trip for the tunnel! Long story short, my connecting flight got cancelled, so ere I am in Denver..... What to do?!? Wind tunnel of course! They even have a slot for me....But a las I won't make it by 9:15 ( only going 19 miles) via public transportation and the estimated taxi fare is 40$ each way.... So I thought.... Maybe there is a fellow skydiver in the vicinity who'd help me out??? Anyone?? "A man only gets in life what he is believing for, nothing more and nothing less" Kenneth Hagen
