that was my feeble attempt of a snide remark... my bad, I failed. thx for taking your time to reply honestly: the days of vital forums are gone, and the place is but a shadow of it's former glory which is truly sad. I miss it. why do I still come and why did I get stuck in sc? cause it gives an insight how americans think. as for the other forums I guess I've seen my share and I am not that active anymore. meaning the value of reading has dropped dramatically. and guess that is not only my observation

if sc is all that is left (which is the truth) it would be easier to create a site named "speakers corner leftovers" somewhere else and have the content of this forum transfered.

wtf?

is the party is over? yes buddy, the party is over. it was fun while it lasted. thx to all of you for more than one reason

American politics is different to the rest of the world in so many ways that it's hard (if not impossible) to understand the workings from an outside point of view. that said: it would be unthinkable for any major european newsoutlet to give a direct recommendation on who to vote for in any sort of election. Sure there is bias, but the concept of independent newpapers or TV-Station endorsing a candidate is truly alien

Elon Musk, Trump, Security Concerns for America
feuergnom replied to Phil1111's topic in Speakers Corner
I used to read a lot of sf-novels when I was younger. in many of the stories the World was run by companies and corporations as a lot of these dystopian stories have become reality on a smaller scale I guess it's time to go for the next level -
as all of you know it will not matter if harris wins the election by a landslide when the electoral college decides differently...

that was my original line of thought, but I figured there might be an answer other that that...

I have a vortex II thats been sitting for quite a while now that i want to sell - but the foam padding in the back is heavily deteriorating. Vacuuming didn't help, nor blowing it out with high pressure air. any time you put it on you are full with crumbly, sticky particles. any thoughts how to solve this other than trashing it?

But if only one country granted him access he would be denied a reentry into the US - technically at least... -

So it would be practical if trump left the country for a day or two? -

Forgot to add some sort of emoticon to make or clear that I am part of the problem and I feel home here for varios reasons No need to get riled up so lighten up a bit. Times are dire enough

The poll tells is that SC is inhabtitated by a bunch of old farts - not that I would have guessed anything Different
