  1. Of course it is up to me! I just wanted opinions. I am not frightened of getting hurt or that it is a danger sport, if I was I would never had gone for a jump in the first place... it was getting the training/intellect to tell my primitive brain/body.. you must go over the edge, its only 3.500 feet, so why not? Go on get forward! I did it for the experience (and a charity fund raiser) but part of me would like to do it bolder and better than before!
  2. I did my first static line jump last weekend after a days training, leaving the aircraft and 'malfunction' drill was quite drilled into us all but there did not seem like that much to remember.. I was worried about missing the dropzone more than anything.. and I did! but not by much, it was that or risk landing in a small river on the boundary. If the chute is all fine and you orientate yourself to where the dropzone is you should be fine, ours had a big arrow in it showing which way to approach from, which helped. At the end of the day you can mess some of it up like I did and still come out fine, so don;t worry I'm sure you'll do fine.
  3. Advice sought! Last weekend I did my static line training and did a jump the next day. One minute I think I really want to do another jump, the next I think.. not sure if I should. My jump wasn't the best ever seen, I was nervous of getting closer to the edge of the plane door, inside I felt quite calm but my body just would not let me shift any closer, so that my exit was a bit faltering, and I was slightly short of the dropzone (I could have gone for it but felt it better not to risk landing in the river boundary!). Despite that my debriefing wasn't too bad but the instructor said 'I think you should think very deeply if you want to do another jump' Any advice? Did you feel better getting out the plane the second time? overall it was a good experience and I've got a months window of 'turn up and jump' befpre I have to go through refresher training. Any words of wisdom?
