Wow...you think that rep comes in just 2 years. Unfortunately we've been working on that one since Vietnam. You've got to do some pretty serious mental gymnastics to convince yourself things have always been this way.

As I have been saying for over two years now, it is very reminiscent of the early days of the Third Reich. One only has to read The Rise & Fall of the Third Reich to see the commonality. Kristallnacht anyone? Jerry Baumchen Or, Rules for Radicals by Saul Alinsky. Deep State anyone? GOP House candidate receives letter threatening his children https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/413072-gop-house-candidate-receives-letter-threatening-his-children Is this really a direction that benefits America? Robert De Niro and Joe Biden receive suspected mail bombs similar to those sent to top Dems and CNN https://www.cnbc.com/2018/10/25/robert-de-niros-nyc-restaurant-reportedly-receives-suspected-mail-bomb-similar-to-those-sent-to-top-democrats-and-cnn.html Are terror acts against people that voice democratic positions but who work as ordinary Americans. A country you want? No, but The fact that you can even put a 'but' after 'no' shows what kind of person you are.

https://news.harvard.edu/gazette/story/2018/10/large-scale-wind-power-has-its-down-side/ It's sad there are so many people like you whose only goal is to prevent any kind of progress. You disregard the vast majority of science which overwhelmingly supports human caused climate change, and cherry pick articles and blatantly bullshit blogs to convince yourself it's not true. And for what? You think you're winning something besides a more polluted world to live in?

To be fair, he's technically right. 3000 people did NOT die in the hurricanes. Only about 60 or 70 did. The other 2900-odd died as a result of the lack of healthcare, fresh water and electricity in the aftermath. I'm surprised he didn't use his 'well it would have happened anyway' tariff excuse for that bit. Is the qualification to "die in a hurricane" that you have to be hit with a flying brick? If we're going to actually "be fair" we should probably count fatalities the same way we do for Katrina and other hurricanes. I would imagine many of the 1,800 people who died in that also died a short period after the storm had passed. From looking at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hurricane_Katrina it seems at least hundreds of fatalities can be attributed to the same lack of necessities.

NYT: "I Am Part of the Resistance Inside the Trump Administration"

Now to the tune of 171 fellony emails that have been found on her server. Yes! More we're found just last week. Or her obstruction of justice by deleting email evidence. Poe's law strikes again. Once again the inability to refute the evidence rears its ugly head! The only thing that's missing is a claim of racism. I know it's been maybe a day since you posted this thing about "171 felony emails" but you have yet to explain what you're talking about. What are the "felony emails"? Who has verified that they are "felony"? Why didn't they take action? Google "171 emails" and get predictable results.. a web of blogs with the exact same content and application template. One publisher pushing out stories to a farm of sites with a different logo and domain name. These are the people who cry "fake news". https://www.theolympian.com/news/politics-government/article95178922.html https://www.mcclatchydc.com/news/politics-government/election/article95177252.html https://www.kansascity.com/news/politics-government/article98741982.html -
He asked a pretty clear question of what part of the constitution it is you think the left is afraid of. I'm curious as well what you think that is? Funny how they can never answer this.

Nice to see more people enslaved by giving them free money. Most of Trump's base will be in this category of needing UBI. It's not that technology is replacing jobs, it's simply that we have a population that is not adapting and learning the skills that society needs. It's supply and demand. Most of the people are not lazy looking for handouts, they are just simply useless. The smart people already developed the technology and infrastructure to make the world work. Without UBI we will force a larger and larger part of the workforce to work for lower and lower salaries. Sure, you can say no free handouts, but like all poverty, it will become a nuisance for the rich as well. It's in our own best interest to provide *something* for the poor, even if they are just lazy sacks of shit. Thanks for demonstrating so eloquently the arrogant and elitist attitude of many on the left. It's one of the main reasons we have Trump as POTUS. Yeah well it's also the reason we will have a massively useless population. But at least Trump will be bringing those coal jobs back any day now. Hopefully the right can pull up their bootstraps and actually prosper again, but I have a feeling they will only keep blaming the problem on immigrants.

There IS a problem with global warming... it stopped in 1998
skinnay replied to rushmc's topic in Speakers Corner
Sorry buddy, wrong again. I'm not sure if you're trying to make a point that because there's ice that global warming is a farce but here you go: https://www.nasa.gov/feature/goddard/2018/arctic-wintertime-sea-ice-extent-is-among-lowest-on-record You missed the memo. NASA is the farce. What exactly makes you think NASA a farce? I'd really love to hear this.. -
Ha, I just happened to have run across this. Now we know that it was a Russia influence effort that was fanning the flaming on both sides. I posted that info just after the election. Russia does not care who won, they just want to stir shit up like they are now! It's almost as if Putin would want the US to step down from the world stage, start trade wars with it's closest allies, divide the country internally, and create distrust in federal agencies, intelligence, and journalism. Just imagine if it turned out that Putin had leverage on Trump? Trump might actually help Russia do those things. As a right wing american patriot I bet that would really piss you off if so!

Saw this come up in my news feed and immediately thought this was just a BS coincidence. DHS releases a memo styled pretty closely to a "14-words" nazi slogan: https://lawandcrime.com/high-profile/twitter-explodes-after-homeland-security-headline-appears-to-mimic-14-words-neo-nazi-slogan/ A pretty understandable coincidence, but the last line of the memo is pretty hard to ignore: 13/88 is a pretty strange fraction to use.. I can't think of any reason a person could arrive at those numbers without specifically wanting to use the number 88. What do you think?

Or they don't want to be attacked and have to defend why they support him. There are smart people that support him, I would like to understand why. I thought I could gain some insight with this thread, purposefully thanking anyone who would share to encourage more people to share. I tried to stop debates into their reasoning so that more people would share. I failed. Derek V Do you think they're really in fear of being "attacked"? It seems like it would be more similar to why most racist people aren't openly racist. They know it's not 'right', but they still have reasons to feel that way. I think there is an element of shame that comes with such views. Most Trump positions come down "us vs them". Not many americans want to admit they don't care about the rest of the world. Even less would admit they don't care about minorities. But when they do behind closed doors to vote, and they are promised a better life at the expense of others, guess which choice they will make? Am I getting warmer?

I'm sure we can check your post history and find all of the times when you've defended Clinton from all of the baseless accusations from the right. Unless, of course, you're practicing hypocrisy. Mueller's investigation, on the other hand, has already resulted in multiple indictments and guilty pleas, so cannot be credibly claimed to be a witch hunt, at least not without extraordinary evidence supporting such a claim. That's said and you have not one charge based on collusion during the campaign. You guys you can't look and see the evidence you're so lost in your hope that somehow they're going to get Trump it's pathetic! Remember, manafort's charges are all based on things that happened before he even joined the campaign let alone while he was there. It's a joke and everybody should be offended that this is even going on! Yes we should all be so offended! How many guilty pleas do we have again?
