Eye protection is essential for skydiving. While it is possible to jump without the use of goggles or a full face helmet, it is definitely not recommended. With free fall speeds in excess of 100mph, regular jumping without goggles could cause eye damage. Furthermore, small bugs can easily cause damage to the eyes when hitting you at those speeds. A good pair of goggles will ensure your eyes stay safe from in air debris, as well as making your jump a more pleasurable one.
