I know this is a serious long shot… Anyone who was at Skydive City, ZHills in the 2003-2005 timeframe.. I made my first tandem there when I was around 7 or 8 years old. I believe it was January of 2004 but I could be off by a year in either direction. I am trying to find the person who shot outside video on that jump in the hopes that MAYBE they still have the original floating around. I lost the video over the years and would really like to have it. All I have left of it is this picture. Dad only remembers his first name: Mike. If anyone was around in that time period and could help me figure out who it was and how to get in contact, that would be amazing.

Anyone jumping one of these? Full frame sensor, mirrorless, 40fps, stabilization, fast/accurate autofocus… seems like a great option.

I am pretty proficient on my belly and I've been wanting to learn to fly video. I'eve started taking the camera step on random fun jumps around the DZ to practice and its been going well, but I was wondering if there were any tips and tricks as far as what to practice specifically? Drills? Suit Recommendations? Where do I start? I'm about 210 out the door. My eventual goal is Tandem video. Thanks for the help!

I did jump 100 today. It was cold and pretty cloudy so I just did a hop n pop because I’ve been waiting to make this jump for over a week... as you can imagine, I just wanted to jump. Woohoo!! Yep, fully cocked and had a good throw. Like I said, I was able to pick the rig up by the bridle with the container open. It just got stuck. The PC is brand new and it looks, and feels awesome. This really was a simple “I’m a dumb ass” moment. Once I have a properly sized main, I’ll be okay. This is an odd result. After 8 seconds you are nearly at terminal. Add a couple of seconds of hesitation and you are at terminal. Your pilot chute should have generated well in excess of 50 pounds of pull at that point, more than enough to extract even the most obstinate bag. It may be that your analysis is correct, but I would also be looking at other possibilities to keep from getting similar results with a smaller canopy. --Mark I packed the rig back up and opened it on the ground. Pin came out fine and the flaps opened fine but I was able to pick the rig up and bounce it a few times by the bridle with an open container before the d bag would come out. I’ve inspected the rig and all of the components and it all checks out and looks normal. I willing say, however, that was the most comfortable canopy ride Ive ever had had. I’m in love with his rig and can’t ant wait to get it back online with a properly sized main. So.... I did it. And now I will say from this experience: not a good idea for a vector. It closed fine and looked fine and pin pressure was okay but it was solid and tight. Did a hop n pop and gave it an 8 second delay before I pitched. I had a PC in tow AFTER the container opened. It was just stuck in the container. took 2 elbows to the side of the rig to get it out. After that it was a beautiful opening but with that much of a hesitation, I’m not jumpin it again until I have a 170 to put into it. Yes, it is "ok" to do this. It is what most people do when ordering new gear these days. And most container manufacturers will recommend this combo if you ask them. Generally when they call it "full" that is your warning not to go any larger. If you are a new packer and you have a new main canopy to pack into it you will wish you had a larger container. I've seen many people in this situation just give up and hire a packer, at least until the canopy is broken in. If possible give yourself a break and avoid the "full" container. But it is not unsafe to fill it to the top end of the recommendation. If in doubt consult Aerodyne. My question here is this: if your reserve isnt stuffed to “full” could you get away with one size bigger than “full” in the main tray. For example: a vector v349 with an OP193 (which manufacturer says is “standard” not “full”) would it be unsafe or damage the container putting a Sabre 2 190(which is one size bigger than ”full”) in it for
