Dropzone manifest software

Dz is looking to get a new manifest program.
Must be able to do online bookings for tandems, sell gift certificates, keep track of employees, fun jumpers to be able to manifest and pay from their cellphone. Able to link electronic waivers to it as well.
Apple computer systems already in office.
Any suggestions?

No, that is a lot of systems that are not connected. That's why there is a manifest person. For a program that does some of that you can look at BurbleMe.

Skydive Teuge in Holland (two Supervans, 40.000+ jumps a year) has been using DZ Manager for 4 years now I think. It has a lot of the fancy features you mentioned, although we're only slowly implementing them one by one. As a manifester I can recommend this software, although I must say I am biased. I started working here right when we started using DZ Manager (we used JumpRun before) and so I've never actually worked with anything else.

Apple computer systems already in office

Native Mac OS / Linux support for DZ-Manager is in alpha state at the moment. We hope to have a version available for interested customers at the end of next year. There will be a couple of drawbacks however, the main one being that this version will most likely be more expensive than the PC version.

Until its arrival we offer a couple of intermediate solutions like cloud-based workstations which can be used from your Mac as well as discounts if running DZ-Manager via virtualization programs like Parallels Desktop, VMware Fusion or VirtualBox.

Do any of these programs track revenue and estimated costs per load?

DZ-Manager keeps track of a lot of numbers, e.g. the cost of your staff or the flight time of your aircrafts. However it does not (yet) track engine time because nobody asked for that. If you need that you have two options:

• co-develop such a feature with us, it would be a “community feature”


• use so called “free reports” which use data from the DZ-Manager database but can also incorporate your own numbers. Those reports can be written by you but we also do it on request.

Yes, in multiple ways, e.g.

• Staff can sign in on the Kiosk / POS so manifest knows they are available for work. DZ-Manager then suggest the member of staff who’s turn it is for the next work jump (make sure all TM get an equal number of jumps)


• Staff can enroll for jobs in the future via the Online-Tools: “I am available for doing tandems next weekend”
  
  
• Manifest dialogs will only offer members of staff that are allowed to do the job


• Detailed reports show you how many jumps (and of what kind) an employee has done


• Certain customers have their own “write invoices for all staff” or "End of day report" functions implemented which create Excel sheets or PDF-files with their custom layout and all crucial numbers

A DZ that a visited a few times this summer employs the burble system. It's nice to be able to manifest right from your phone! The hangar has a few TV screens connected to Burble and folks can see where the empty spots on each load are 2+ hours out.

On the downside - this DZ requires that your either leave a credit card at the manifest desk or buy a package in order to use it. I've left my credit card there a few times after forgetting about it and it's hard to come up with the money for a package...even if the jumps are at a discount.
