ronwah 1 #26 May 12, 2020 Hi...we have been working for awhile now on a virtual reality parachute flight simulator. We call it skydiVR. To help you understand, we recently recorded this video of a group jump into the Deland VR DZ. You can watch here: https://youtu.be/6pje3c_Jtd4 If you have a VR rig, come and join us every Sunday. We have several other DZ's... More info at https://www.skydivr.io/ Blue Skies Ronnie

Sorry we have found the Oculus Go does not have enough computing power to render the 360 3D environment as a realistic experinece. I will keep this post updated with developments. If you have a VR ready PC and either Oculus Rift or HTC Vive, I'd be happy to provide to you a test license. Which dropzone do you call home?
sfzombie13 321 #31 May 18, 2020 wv skydivers, unfortunately i don't yet have a vr box setup. that is in the works for later in the year. i was more interested in sharing an idea and the work i have done so far integrating outside sensors into a fully immersive vr experience. think having the whole skydiving experience with a system of cables and sensors on a suit that lifts you up and even has fans that simulate air movement. i am working on the sensors, but am not the programmer i thought i was and would love to see someone get it working. the biggest thing i have achieved so far is the floor that allows you to simulate walking while standing still.
