  1. Actually, you get more honeys being fly. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  2. Yeah, I feel ya, I have two kids too! I would try some out at your DZ and see what suits you best based on how it helps with fall rate/whatever discipline you are interested in. There are a ton of brands out there that do both custom and off the rack suits. Next time you're at your DZ... ask for a jumpsuit and just start trying them out. I've jumped in everything from a super draggy suit, to tight leggings and an under armour base layer, and it helped me figure things out. HTH
  3. When i was an AFF student, It was required for me to wear a jumpsuit. Along with the safety issues that the loose clothing can pose, when it comes to free fall, wearing a jumpsuit eliminates the clothing variable, making flying a little easier. I would for sure recommend seeing if your DZ has some to try out, and then buy one based on your fall rate.
  4. I'm curious as to what most of your daily activities are? There is no amount of training, knowledge, or equipment that will stop gravity and its effects should shit hit the fan. It is a dangerous sport that can be done somewhat safely. I think we can agree that inherently there is nothing safe about exiting an aircraft at 13k feet.
  5. I've only done 15 min blocks. 1:40 x 9 with i fly customers flying breaks. There was one night I went, me and my coach were the only ones there and it was 15 min of time, but it took a 30 min block. They just turned the tunnel off if there wasn't anyone flying on my breaks. I did 30 min of fly time once, but it was broken into 2 15 min sessions, again flying minute 40's and i had a 2 hour break in between the sessions and halfway through the second session i started flying like crap because I was so tired. I have heard of people doing an hour in one day, but usually its fly 20 minutes 2:00 x 10 with minute breaks in between, and then an hour long break, and repeat 2 more times. I think it depends a lot on what you are working on, your own personal ability. Most of the time though, people will split a 30 min block, because it makes it cheaper for everyone and you get more out of it because you dont get suuuuuuper worn out.
  6. http://precisionskydiving.com/ (California) Contact Ed. He is wonderful. He was one of the people who taught me to skydive. Great teacher.
  7. I was 28. In December of 2018. I have lived 8 min from my DZ for the last 10 years. I had always wanted to do just one tandem jump. You know, because, try everything once. I made my first tandem jump and loved it so much that I signed up for AFF the next day. Talk about a slippery slope. Yeah. I'm not a natural. I took a little break and spent some time in the tunnel and now I'm stoked to go back and finish AFF next month.
