Hi Rob, Re: we still need minimum standards for reserve opening times, distances and descent rates. Yet, a lot of the modern world does just fine with out these standards. People who have never worked with the FAA, as a TSO-holder, have this strange sense that the TSO system actually works. Re: And please remember that docile 7-cell reserves do not flare as well as the latest 21-cell, Schumann planform mains. Having drop tested squares, I can tell you that you do NOT want to land any square canopy without input from the user. Those uncontrolled landings are not a pretty picture. I agree with Deyan 100%. Jerry Baumchen PS) Ask Bill Booth what he thinks about getting rid of the TSO req'ment.

Speak to your current instructors about it. There are too many variables to analyze your situation on a forum.

I’m always amused by the subjective nature of age. My sons are now 24 and I already had a wife, child and mortgage - I look at them and their friends and they are still kids! An 18 yr old sees a 25 yr old as ‘old’ and friends of mine in their sixties call me a youngster. I think old is defined as 5-10 years older than you, and young is 5-10 years younger. Moral of the story is if you want eternal youth, always have friends 10 years older than you :)

Coreece, I don’t know if you see “the right” as a single entity, marching in lockstep, but “the left” for damn sure isn’t. We’re not the party of “all or nothing,” and there are definitely divisions and factions. That doesn’t make us hypocrites, it makes us willing to compromise. Sometimes people aren’t happy with the results of compromise, and keep talking. It’s not like they’ve been muzzled. I have a feeling a decent number of strongly pro-life evangelicals will vote for Trump anyway. Does that make them hypocrites? Wendy P.

Republicans and democrats can nominate people by any process they want. The nomination process is not democratic; you don't get to vote for any candidate you want. Parties decide that. If you just now decided that this is NOT DEMOCRATIC!!!!!@@!@!! but all previous nominations were, you're being a bit of a drama queen.

Great comment I saw on the DEI claim over on Xitter: "In 1991, was Clarence Thomas really the nation's most qualified judge to put on the Supreme Court, or was he a DEI hire?"

Hi Keith, I think that this sums it up nicely, from your link: I am a conservative Republican, but I cannot stand the lying, the cheating, the illegal activities that Trump has perpetuated. We need a LOT more of these. Jerry Baumchen
